Larder 180 helps households plan and track supplies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who receives it, and how to contact us about it.
The operator is Larder 180, a sole proprietorship, at 27 Taylor Drive, Franklin Park, New Jersey 08823. For privacy questions or requests, email larder180@gmail.com.
Email-list signup. If you join the list on our home page, you enter your email address and, if you choose, your first name. Our own signup form sends them to our server, which passes them to Kit, our email service, so Kit can send you a confirmation email. If you arrived through a referral link, we also send the link's name, which Kit stores in a custom field. Kit may also record how you reached the page, such as the referring site.
Signup protection. To limit abuse, our server keeps a count of signup attempts per hour for a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your network address. The counter does not keep the address itself. Our hosting and server logs may separately record network addresses (see Technical information below).
App account. If you sign in, we collect your email address. Firebase Authentication sends the email sign-in link and keeps authentication records, such as when you last signed in. We do not ask you to create a password.
Household information. We store the household name, items, quantities, prices, and notes; member names or email addresses; membership; the plan and free-sharing dates; and, if you arrived through a referral link, that link's name. Some entries, such as medicine-related notes, may reveal sensitive information. Please add only what you need and are comfortable with every household member seeing.
Agreement record. When you agree to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, we store your account ID, your sign-in email, which version you agreed to, how you agreed (the sign-in checkbox or the agreement screen), and the date and time.
Feedback. If you send feedback in the app, we store your message, your email address, which part of the app you were in, and the date.
Browser storage. The app uses your browser's local storage, not cookies, for a few conveniences: the email you typed while signing in, a note that you ticked the agreement box, the referral link name, and your last visit time and days-covered figure for the welcome message. The welcome-message data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. Firebase also keeps your sign-in state in your browser's storage, along with a local copy of your household's data so the app loads quickly.
Technical information. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser details. Our hosting and cloud services, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud, keep standard technical logs, which can include network addresses and request details.
We use information to provide account access; create, sync, and manage household records; let you share with people you choose; run the founding-household offer; send the email list you asked to join; understand which referral links bring people to Larder 180; protect the service from abuse; keep a record that you agreed to our terms; answer feedback, support, and privacy requests; and meet legal obligations.
When you create a household, you may choose to receive Larder 180 updates. If you opt in, we send your sign-in email and first name, if provided, to Kit. If you are already on the list, we tell Kit about your account activity by adding tags to your subscriber record: household-created when you create a household, and founding-household if you claim the founding offer. We never send item lists, notes, or prices to Kit. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time with the link in any email. Unsubscribing does not delete your app account or household. Service emails, such as the notice that a founding offer is ending, are not marketing. We send them to the owner's account email through Gmail, and they do not depend on the email list.
If someone helps us find users through a referral link, they see only counts: how many people confirmed their email and how many households were created through their link, with dates. They never see names, emails, or household contents. We keep each partner's email address, name, link name, and last visit time to run their dashboard.
Current members of a household can see its items, quantities, prices, and notes, and member names or email addresses. While sharing is active they can also change the items. After a founding household's free period and its 14-day transition, only the owner can. The owner manages the invite link and can delete the household. Anyone with a valid invite link or code can join while there is space, so treat the link as private. A person who had access may have kept their own copy, and we cannot take it back.
The operator and our service providers may need limited access to records to run, secure, and support the service.
We do not sell personal information and do not show advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the service or others, as the law allows.
App records are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States (the nam5 multi-region), and our server code runs in the Google Cloud us-central1 region. Kit holds email-list information. Service providers may process data in more than one country.
You can unsubscribe using the link in any email, delete a household you own, leave a household, or delete your account in the app. To ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email larder180@gmail.com. We may need to confirm it is really you. Some requests may be limited by other household members' rights, security needs, legal requirements, or records we must keep. We respond to privacy requests within 45 days.
We use Google Firebase for sign-in and household storage, with access rules that limit household data to its members. Server-side records such as feedback and signup counters are not readable from the app. No online service is perfectly secure. Protect your email account and invite links, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
The app and landing page set no cookies of their own. They use browser local storage as described above. Google Fonts and Kit's emails may use their own technologies.
Larder 180 is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor gave us information, contact us.
We will post changes and update the date above.
